While work continues on Torgar’s Quest, sometimes it’s good to break away and do something different for a while. This is how Mars Rider came about, as a 1.5 day project, creating an homage to a true arcade classic.
The goal is simple: avoid the rocks, and avoid getting shot by UFOs. Shoot and jump your way across the planet surface using the arrow keys.
Mars Rider is free for Windows and can be downloaded via GameJolt.
Diner Match is a small, free game, in which you must guide moving food onto its intended plates, before the dishes disappear off the screen. Occasionally, a small cash tip will pass by too, which you tap for bonus points. Slowly, the game gets faster and faster – how long can you keep up?
It’s simple, it’s fun, it’s perfect for the bus ride, or any other small break. Diner Match is currently available for iOS (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch).
In the wake of Salvage Trader, which took a year and a half to complete, focus has shifted to creating a series of smaller games, aimed at the mobile market. For starters, there’s Balloon Run!
In this game, you goal is to keep your hot air balloon in the air for as long as possible, by finding a safe path past oncoming birds, airplanes and hang gliders. You can also pick up smaller balloons for power up effects. Balloon Run is free for iOS, and will be available for Android at a later date.
But it doesn’t stop there. Another mobile game, Diner Match, was just submitted to the App Store and is pending review. This game will also be free, but expect another update on that when it becomes available.
